The tile-setting workmanship we install. If our tile-setting work fails, we fix it.

Built so you'll never need it
1. Our workmanship
Burlington Tile backs the tile-setting work we install with a 25-year warranty on tile-setting workmanship.
2. LATICRETE materials
We build to LATICRETE's spec. Many jobs also qualify for a LATICRETE manufacturer system warranty on the installation materials. LATICRETE sets its terms.
LATICRETE's published system warranty says that if part of a qualifying installation is proven defective, the remedy is replacing that portion. LATICRETE pays for its own products, the finishing materials and the labour for the replacement, up to the original purchase price of that portion by the square foot.

Built with LATICRETE system products, eligible for LATICRETE's system warranty →A check-up every five years
Think of it like servicing your car. A quick silicone check and grout check every five years keeps your shower in top shape and keeps your warranty valid. Your warranty starts once your final invoice is paid, and the five-year checks count from that date. You book the check, so mark your calendar. Re-siliconing your shower at the check-up is a small service charge.
To keep your warranty active, have your silicone and grout inspected and refreshed every 5 years. Skipping these checks voids the warranty.

Burlington Tile · 289-337-1578 · burlingtontile.ca/warranty.html · Warranty start date (final invoice paid): ____________
- The tile-setting workmanship Burlington Tile installs
- For 25 years, as long as the five-year checks are done
- A new owner, only if the home stays in your family
- Jobs that skip a five-year silicone and grout check (this voids the warranty)
- Plumbing leaks (pipes, valves, supply lines and drains behind the wall)
- House settling or structural movement
- Work done or changed by other trades
- Marble and natural stone projects without proper stone care (sealing and cleaning as recommended; see our natural stone care guide)
- Acts of God (e.g. floods, fire, storms)
Good to knowWhy your plumber matters
Plumbing leaks aren't covered by a tile warranty, so who does your plumbing really matters. Your shower valve and drain sit behind the tile. If one leaks, the tile has to come off to fix it.
In Ontario, plumber is a compulsory trade. To do plumbing work legally, a person must hold a Certificate of Qualification (or be a registered apprentice or hold a provisional certificate) and be listed on Skilled Trades Ontario's Public Register.
Many plumbers also have a Red Seal endorsement on their certificate. It means they passed the national Red Seal exam and meet the Canada-wide standard for the trade.
- Ask to see their certificate.
- Look them up by name or number on the Skilled Trades Ontario Public Register.
